Alusine Keita, originally from Koinadugu District in Sierra Leone, is an accomplished finance and accounting professional who has lived in Belgium since the mid‑1980s. He is an accountant by profession and currently serves as Deputy Chief Financial Officer at BNP Paribas Asset Management, where he has worked since 2002. He holds a Master’s degree in International Accounting and Fiscal Taxation and a Diploma in Oracle Financial Applications from Reading University.
Mr. Keita is a seasoned Oracle Cloud Applications expert, with over 25 years of functional experience, including more than 20 years of deep Oracle specialization across modules such as GL, AP, AR, CM, PO, and related implementation cycles. He has successfully completed three full life‑cycle Oracle implementations (R11i, R12, and Cloud) and has extensive experience in systems integration, financial process optimization, audit, and accounting. His strengths include business requirements mapping, user training, UAT coordination, workflow analysis, and post–go‑live support.
In his role as Deputy CFO, he supports the CFO in planning, implementing, and managing all financial operations. His responsibilities include ensuring accurate daily accounting processes, preparing corporate and tax returns, strengthening internal controls, documenting financial procedures, and leading internal and external audit engagements.
Alongside his corporate career, Mr. Keita has served as the Finance Officer at the Sierra Leone Embassy in Brussels since 1994, working with nine ambassadors over more than 30 years. Fluent in French and deeply knowledgeable about Belgian financial and social security systems, he acts as a key liaison between the Embassy and Belgian institutions. He oversees staff settlements, housing and lease arrangements, banking relationships, and compliance with Belgian administrative and financial regulations. He modernized the Embassy’s financial operations by introducing electronic approval workflows, digital management schedules, and a custom accounting and reporting package now considered a model for other Sierra Leonean embassies.
From 2001 to 2018, he also served as Treasurer of the International Baptist Church in Brussels, where he helped establish the organization’s legal structure, introduced an accounting system, designed budgeting processes, and contributed to major fundraising efforts for church renovations.
Mr. Keita is widely respected for his professionalism, technical expertise, integrity, and long-standing service to both the Sierra Leonean community and the institutions he supports.
