On 18 November 2025, a representative of SLDAC had the privilege of joining the Sierra Leonean community in Athens, Greece for an engaging session, supported by the Embassy of Sierra Leone in Brussels and SLDAC.
We discussed integration, social welfare, youth, culture, sports, trade, and investment, and explored ways to strengthen the Sierra Leone National Association in Greece. A key achievement was the formation of an interim committee to guide the community for one year and prepare for transparent elections in November 2026. This engagement is a huge step toward stronger governance and diaspora development.
Special thanks to the community elders, youth, and our dedicated ambassadors. SLDAC is an initiative created by Ambassador Bob Jusu to connect Sierra Leonean diaspora communities in countries where the Sierra Leone Embassy in Brussels is accredited: the Netherlands, Belgium, Greece, and Luxembourg with a single goal: mobilize the diaspora for the development of Sierra Leone and promote their integration in their countries of residence. SLDAC will continue to support and guide the community in the year ahead.
